Debbie Spalding Henderson-Thomas – Administrative Assistant

Debbie Henderson
Debbie Spalding Henderson-Thomas is a Louisvillian who attended Atherton High School, graduated from Murray State University and received her Masters and Rank I from the University of Louisville. Her love of children led her to teach 27 years in the Jefferson County Public Schools. The greatest joys of her life, though, were always her two beautiful sons. One, Peyton, is a policeman and the other is an angel. Brandon Spalding Henderson lost his battle with heroin addiction and took the hand of his Lord to journey home March 7, 2013. Debbie is a grieving mother with a passion to save a child and another family from the pain of losing a loved one to this terrible disease of addiction. Through her travels seeking to fulfill her prayers of getting Naloxone into the hands of the first responders and those in need, she actually helped save the life of a young girl. From that save, she was introduced to the KyHRC where she has found the answers to her prayers and her home. When not involved with the KyHRC, Debbie is wife to Gary and “Nonna” to Addy, Aidon and Triston.
